Matt Riley – Kobalt Music

Matt Riley is head of digital marketing at AWAL/Kobalt Label Services. After getting into music as a DJ and promoter, Matt moved to London and joined forward thinking UK electronic label Hospital Records heading up digital marketing and sync licensing.

Matt oversaw all of Hospital Records promotional output on the web, seeing great success with artists such as Netsky, Camo & Krooked, High Contrast and Fred V & Grafix. Pushing Hospital ever forward is the digital space, the label won three BT digital music awards and became the first UK record label to stream live on YouTube, broadcasting the event “Hospitality at Brixton Academy” in April 2011. Matt has also completed both YouTube certification courses. Running Hospital’s sync licensing department, Matt worked on licenses and brand partnerships with the likes of Sony Playstation, Microsoft Xbox, Samsung, EA Games, Disney, BBC, Channel 4 and many more. January 2014 saw Matt take on a new role as Head of digital marketing at AWAL/Kobalt Label Services, working on artist campaigns for Todd Terje, Snakehips, Tom Misch, Susanne Sundfør, Jasmine Thompson and more.
